Inspired by the creative minds in & around the Oregon Country Fair, Andrew Hatlen began designing & building large-scale art installations in the Summer of 2010. Over the years, he's helped to build projects across the Pacific Northwest, Mexico, and even on the Playa at Burning Man with the P.O.D.S. (2024) crew.Â
Since 2022, Andrew has used 3D Projection Mapping to share unique and engaging perspectives. Irregular shapes and colors appear naturally in the world around us and in the inspiring creations of other artists. Andrew specializes in respectfully borrowing these shapes and colors to create new layers of reinterpretation through temporary projected installations. Playing with depth and color disparity, Andrew uses light as a tool to add augmented layers that breathe new life into existing works of art.
